LSU football lost another defensive player to the transfer portal on Sunday.
On3 reports that defensive tackle Jalen Lee will go in search of a new school for his final season of eligibility in 2025. He is the fourth defensive lineman to enter the portal from the Tigers, following Jay’Vier Suggs, Kimo Makaneole, and De’Myrion Johnson.
Lee’s next team will be his third, following stints at Florida and LSU. In three seasons with the Gators, he totaled 19 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. He has 36 career appearances but played four games for the Tigers in 2024 due to an injury.
The Watson, LA native was a four-star prospect in the 2020 class, according to On3’s Industry Rankings, and initially chose Florida over a plethora of SEC offers. He was the No. 17 recruit in Louisiana.
The six-foot-three, 294-pounder is a three-star transfer and the No. 37 ranked defensive lineman. With the emergence of true freshman Ahmad Breaux and Dominick McKinley at defensive tackle, along with the return of Jacobian Guillory, Lee was likely looking at another backup role in 2025.
Finding a fresh start suits Lee, especially with seasoned talent coming to Baton Rouge.
