LSU football carrying on with practice despite weather concerns, campus closure

LSU football hits the practice field in wake of weather issues surrounding Hurricane Marco.

LSU football is still hitting the practice field on this Monday, despite the fact LSU students won’t be returning to campus for the first day of the semester due to weather concerns.

The athletic department will continue to monitor the circumstances surrounding Hurricane Marco, but as The Advocate recently reported, all of LSU’s fall sports teams were still a go for the day.

LSU will also have Tropical Storm Laura to keep an eye on, which will follow Hurricane Marco. For now, campus is set to re-open on Tuesday, though issues with weather could force it to close again depending on how things continue to develop.

This marks LSU’s second full week of training camp.

The Tigers are set to open the season against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Sept. 26 in Tiger Stadium.
