The No. 17 LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday when they take on the visiting Missouri Tigers. This is only the third meeting in the history between the two schools as Missouri didn’t officially join the SEC until 2012.
Since becoming conference foes, the two teams have played just once, back in 2016 with LSU coming out on top 42-7.
The only other meeting occurred back in 1979 when Missouri defeated LSU in the Liberty Bowl 20-15.
The 2016 contest between these schools marks a memorable moment in LSU’s history. It was the first game as interim coach for Ed Orgeron after the Tigers fired Les Miles the week before.

Since that time, Orgeron has put together an overall record of 41-10 as head coach of LSU, including leading the team to a national championship last season.
Another developing storyline for this game is the weather. Baton Rouge is currently in the path of Hurricane Delta, leading both schools to move the game to Columbia, Mo.
Barring an unexpected shift in trajectory of Hurricane Delta overnight, Missouri will host LSU Saturday at noon ET, sources told @Stadium. 1st reported by @BenArnetKOMU
