The LSU Tigers haven’t even taken the field yet in 2020, yet they’ve already fallen twice in the USA TODAY NCAA re-rank.
The Tigers now sit at No. 12 on the list, ahead of Michigan and behind Texas A&M.
In the previous rankings, LSU was at No. 11, behind North Carolina and ahead of Cincinnati.
Texas A&M had taken the No. 7 spot that LSU had before at that point.

Clemson holds the No. 1 spot, with Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma making up the remainder of the top five.

LSU opens the season against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who currently sit at No. 55 within the rankings, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CST in Tiger Stadium.
