LSU defensive line commit flips to another SEC school

The Tigers lost a top-200 commit to Auburn on Friday.

LSU has an elite recruiting class to be thankful for in 2023, but it lost a four-star recruit to the Auburn Tigers on Friday morning.

[autotag]Darron Reed[/autotag] is a defensive lineman from Columbus, Georgia, where he plays for Carver-Columbus high school. Reed committed to [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and LSU back on July 4.

After Reed committed to LSU, he took three visits to Auburn to watch a few games. Auburn is less than an hour away from Columbus, so it is convenient and close to home. Early signing day is a month away, so this is not the news Kelly was wanting to hear for his 2023 recruiting class that ranks as the No. 5 class in the country.

The class took a hit losing a really talented guy in Reed, but this is still a talented defensive line class that includes blue chips in [autotag]Dashawn Womack[/autotag], [autotag]Jaxon Howard[/autotag] and [autotag]Joshua Mickens[/autotag]
