The LSU Tigers took another big hit on Saturday evening when All-American cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. was ruled out just before the game with what’s being called a lingering leg injury.
Stingley Jr. traveled to the game with the Tigers and dressed for the game but was ruled out just before kickoff.
As a freshman last season, Stingley was one of the top cornerbacks in all of college football. He led the SEC in interceptions and was also named as a consensus All-American.
Unfortunately for LSU, Stingley has battled injuries this season and also missed the season-opener.

In seven games this fall, Stingley has recorded 27 tackles, forced one fumble and defended five passes.
LSU has one game remaining with Ole Miss next week, in which it will hope to cap off the season on a positive note.
I'm told Derek Stingley Jr. is still dealing with a leg injury from the last game. #LSU
