The top two spots in USA TODAY Sports’ NCAA Re-Rank are more solidified than ever after Alabama and Georgia took care of business with big wins against Southern Miss and Vanderbilt over the weekend, but elsewhere in the rankings, the LSU Tigers jumped up a few spots while powerhouses Oklahoma and Clemson fell.
LSU is just outside of the top-25 at No. 29 after escaping Starkville with a 28-25 win over Mississippi State. LSU is now 3-1 on the season and will have another tough matchup with Auburn on Saturday.
The top two teams are followed by No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Penn State, No. 5 Iowa and No. 6 Cincinnati.
The Sooners fell four spots to No. 10 Oklahoma after needing a last-second field goal to beat West Virginia. The loss by Clemson resulted in a 16-place drop No. 28. No. 20 Texas A&M is down 12 after losing to SEC foe Arkansas.
Arkansas jumped four spots to No. 14 and Notre Dame cracked the top-10 with a win over Wisconsin at Soldier Field on Saturday.
