LSU’s blowout win over Arkansas on Wednesday didn’t just improve the Tigers to 9-2 this season. The win also bumped LSU up in the latest NCAA NET rankings, moving LSU into the top 20.
LSU moved up to No. 19 in the latest NET rankings, which was up three spots from its previous ranking according to the NCAA’s own ranking system. LSU is 2-2 in Quad 1 games, 4-0 in Quad 3 games, and 3-0 in Quad 4 games.
LSU is currently the second-highest ranked team in the NMET rankings from the SEC. Only Tennessee at No. 4 appears higher than the Tigers through games played on Jan. 13.
LSU will have a good matchup coming up next week when the Tigers face Alabama. Alabama moved up two spots in the NET rankings from No. 24 to No. 22 in the updated NET rankings.
But first, LSU has a chance to pick up another win this weekend with a game against South Carolina. The Gamecocks are No. 74 in the updated NET rankings.
