Michigan State football opened the season with a victory over Florida Atlantic on Friday night.
The Spartans had an uninspiring performance offensively and used a strong defensive effort to win by the final score of 16-10. Michigan State jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the second quarter but from that point on it got tight, with the Spartans defense needing multiple key stops late.
