During his media availability on Thursday, former Iowa guard Keegan Murray confirmed that he has met and worked out for the Oklahoma City Thunder in a pre-draft visit.
“With what they have and the draft picks they have, there’s a lot of things to look forward to with (Josh) Giddey and Isaiah Roby,” said Murray. “They’re a team built for the future… That would be a really cool experience.”
Murray will likely be a top-10 pick, so unless the Thunder trade back up within that range, the team will likely not get a chance to grab him as No. 2 would be too rich for him.
Murray spent two seasons at Iowa, where the 21-year-old averaged 23.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 35 games during his final season.
The 2022 NBA draft will be held on June 23.
