Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl odds: L.A. still in the hunt at 5-3

Assessing the midseason Super Bowl futures odds for the Los Angeles Rams, with a look at their odds to win the NFC West.

The Los Angeles Rams (5-3) got off to a strong start this season, opening the year 4-1. However, all four of those wins came against the NFC East, and the Rams have since dropped two of their last three games against teams outside that weaker division.

Below, we analyze the midseason Rams 2020 Super Bowl odds, odds of winning their division, as well as NFL futures and opine on whether they’re worth a Super Bowl futures bet at this time.

There wasn’t a lot of confidence in the Rams heading into this season after a difficult 2019 campaign and an offseason that featured more losses than additions. Their Super Bowl chances looked slim with a struggling QB Jared Goff under center and an offensive line that failed to protect him. Since the start of the season, their odds have improved from +4000 to +2500. That’s tied for ninth-best in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.

The Rams have gotten it done with their defense, which ranks fourth in points allowed and first in total yards allowed per game. The offense is averaging 24.1 points per game but turnovers have been a huge problem; L.A. has given it away at least once in every game, including four turnovers in the Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Goff has 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, while RB Darrell Henderson leads the team in rushing with 458 yards. WR Cooper Kupp has caught 48 passes for 527 yards to pace the wideouts.

Rams division betting odds

  • Seattle Seahawks -250
  • Arizona Cardinals +450
  • Los Angeles Rams +600
  • San Francisco 49ers +1300

The Rams have played only one divisional game this season, a loss to the 49ers. Five of their final eight games are against the NFC West, beginning in Week 10 with a home battle against the Seahawks. They finish the season against Seattle and Arizona in the final two weeks, which could decide who wins the division.

Rams futures picks and predictions

The Rams may be coming off an ugly loss to the Dolphins, a game in which Goff turned it over four times, but they’re still in the hunt in the NFC, specifically in the division. If they win both games against the Seahawks, they’ll have an even greater chance to win the NFC West.

YES, the Rams are worth a bet to win the Super Bowl at +2500 because the defense is one of the best in the NFL, and if the ground game continues to have success, Los Angeles will be a tough team to beat.
