The Los Angeles Rams (3-4) will head east on Sunday to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5) in an important NFC battle for both teams. Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium will be at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS) this weekend. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Rams vs. Buccaneers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Rams are fresh off a 31-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, dropping them below .500 for the second time this season – and only the second time in Sean McVay’s head coaching career. The Rams’ offense has been shockingly bad this season, ranking 28th in points per game (16.9).
The Buccaneers have been equally disappointing this season, starting the year 3-5 with wins against the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. They’re currently on a 3-game losing streak, the first time QB Tom Brady has lost 3 in a row since 2002. The Buccaneers rank 25th in the NFL with an average of 18.3 points per game after finishing second in the league a season ago.

Prediction
Rams 21, Buccaneers 20
Moneyline
This is a battle between two of the most disappointing teams in the NFL, and two of the least explosive offenses – something no one expected to say before the season began. As poorly as both teams have played through 8 weeks, I think the Rams are better set up to win this one.
They’re healthier than they have been in recent weeks, while the Buccaneers are ailing with four starters out. Not to mention, the Rams have beaten Brady and the Buccaneers 3 straight times since 2020. Bet the RAMS (+125) to win outright.
Against the spread
This should be a relatively close game, so getting the 3 points with the Rams is a good value. Though they’re just 2-5 ATS this season, the Buccaneers are a half-game worse at 2-6 and they’ve dropped three straight.
Take the RAMS +3 (-112) and the points this weekend, despite them being on the road. And it’s a late-afternoon kickoff, so it’s not as if this will be an early 10 a.m. PT game for Los Angeles.
Over/Under
I would LEAN toward the Under in this one, but I’m not overly confident betting either side. Each team has scored at least 24 points in each of the last 3 meetings between the Rams and Bucs, so these have been high-scoring matchups.
The Over/Under isn’t very high at just 42.5 points, but I still LEAN the UNDER.
