Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Los Angeles Rams (3-4) take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5) Sunday in an important NFC battle for both teams. Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium will be at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS) this weekend. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Rams vs. Buccaneers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Rams are fresh off a 31-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, dropping them below .500 for the second time this season — and only the second time in Sean McVay’s head coaching career. The Rams’ offense has been shockingly bad this season, ranking 28th in points per game (16.9).

The Buccaneers have been equally disappointing this season, starting the year 3-5 with wins against the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. They’re currently on a 3-game losing skid, the first time QB Tom Brady has lost 3 in a row since 2002. The Buccaneers rank 25th in the NFL with 18.3 points per game after finishing 2nd in the league last year.

Rams at Buccaneers picks and predictions

Prediction

Rams 21, Buccaneers 20

Moneyline

This is a battle between 2 of the most disappointing teams in the NFL, and 2 of the least explosive offenses – something no one expected to say before the season began. As poorly as both teams have played through 8 weeks, I think the Rams are better set up to win this one.

They’re healthier than they have been in recent weeks, while the Buccaneers are ailing with 4 starters out. Not to mention, the Rams have beaten Brady and the Buccaneers 3 straight times since 2020. Bet the RAMS (+133) to win outright.

Against the spread

This should be a relatively close game, so getting the 3 points with the Rams is a good value. Though they’re just 2-5 ATS this season, the Buccaneers are a half-game worse at 2-6 and they’ve dropped 6 straight ATS.

Take the RAMS +3 (-108), despite them being on the road. It’s a late-afternoon kickoff, so it’s not as if this will be an early 10 a.m. PT game for Los Angeles.

Over/Under

I’m not overly confident betting on either side here. Each team has scored at least 24 points in each of the last 3 meetings between the Rams and Bucs, so these have been high-scoring matchups.

The total isn’t very high at just 42.5 points, but I still LEAN UNDER 42.5 (-108).
