Season series: Tied 1-1

The Lakers are coming off a 127-102 loss as 4-point favorites against the visiting Denver Nuggets Saturday with the Under (236) hitting. L.A. is 0-2 straight up (SU) in its last 2 games and 0-4 against the spread (ATS) over its last 4.

Lakers at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Lakers 116, Suns 115

Moneyline

L.A. has yet to lose 3 consecutive games SU this season, and the Suns may struggle offensively with Beal and Durant returning after missing 5 and 7 games, respectively.

Obviously, the star duo returning is far better for the team in the long run, but we see this time and time again in the NBA: When star players come back from injury, the team’s chemistry is usually off for 1-2 games.

BET LAKERS (+115).

Against the spread

L.A. +2.5 (-115) is a fine bet. I prefer the plus odds on the moneyline, though.

PASS. Bet the ML and/or total instead.

Over/Under

The Under has hit in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these teams. There’s something about Lakers F LeBron James facing Durant throughout the years that has given their matchups a playoff-like vibe. Both teams should be 100 percent focused on the defensive end, especially in a nationally-televised game.

BET UNDER 234.5 (-110).
