Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies Game 2 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies Game 2 odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday for Game 2 of their 1st-round playoff series. Tip from FedExForum is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (TNT). Los Angeles leads the series 1-0. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Lakers vs. Grizzlies odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Lakers covered as 5-point road underdogs with a 128-112 victory in Game 1 Sunday. F Anthony Davis (22 points, 12 rebounds) and F LeBron James (21 points, 11 rebounds) each had double-doubles but it was F Rui Hachimura (29 points) and G Austin Reaves (23 points) who led the team in scoring. Los Angeles will look to capitalize again on bench production again as it tries to steal back-to-back road games to start the series.

Memphis was led by a 31-point showing from F Jaren Jackson Jr. followed by 22 points from G Desmond Bane and 18 from G Ja Morant before he left with a hand injury. Moving forward, it is the health of Morant which could most impact the remainder of this series for the Grizzlies.

Lakers at Grizzlies Game 2 picks and predictions

Prediction

Lakers 119, Grizzlies 115

Moneyline

PASS.

The spread presents a more profitable play on the Lakers compared to the moneyline.

Against the spread

LEAN LAKERS -1.5 (+100).

While the Lakers may not get as much production out of Reaves and Hachimura as they did in Game 1, their bench runs deep and they are expected to be fully healthy, something that will most likely impact the Grizzlies even if Morant decides to suit up.

The Grizzlies have been on a skid against the spread recently as well. They are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Wednesday games.

Over/Under

BET OVER 226.5 (-110).

The first game in the series went Over the 228 closing line by 12 points.

The Lakers have been hot on offense recently. They’ve scored 108 points or more in 19 straight games and have cashed the Over in 9 of their last 10 outings. The Over is 6-0 in their last 6 road games and 7-0 in their last 7 games following an outright victory.

The Over is 3-1 in the Grizzlies’ last 4 games and they’ve scored at least 100 points in each of their last 21 games.
