Prediction

Angels 8, Dodgers 6

Moneyline (ML)

The Dodgers (-143) lost all four games last season against the ANGELS (+130) but beat them in their only game thus for in 2020.

Despite Buehler being the more acclaimed pitcher, I’d give Heaney the edge in this matchup. Neither one has been overly impressive this season and Heaney is better at home while Buehler isn’t quite himself on the road.

Heaney has a lower ERA at home (by more than a run) and Buehler allows slightly over a run per game higher on the road compared to in Dodger Stadium.

BET the ANGELS (+130). New to sports betting? A $50 bet on the Angels (+130) earns a $65 profit if the Angels upset the Dodgers.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

Let’s get some insurance on our moneyline wager and BET ANGELS +1.5 (-125) on the alternate line. A single run has decided five of the last 10 Dodgers-Angels games so the +1.5 could come in handy.

New to sports betting? A $125 bet on the Angels +1.5 (-125) earns a $100 profit if the Angels win outright or keep it within one run.

Over/Under (O/U)

Each team’s lineup is star-studded with MVPs stepping in the batter’s box. The Angels have cashed the second-most Overs in the majors this season and their last six interleague games have all gone Over the projected total.

I “lean” toward the OVER 9.5 (-110) for a small wager.
