L.A., had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 120-103 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans Monday. Despite a litany of injury issues, the Clippers won eight of their last 10 games and are 5-4-1 against the spread in those contests.
Phoenix broke its two-game losing skid by snapping the New York Knicks’ nine-game winning streak with a 118-110 victory as a 2.5-point road favorite Monday.
The Suns are 1 game behind the first-place Utah Jazz in the Western Conference and 1 game ahead of the Clippers. Phoenix is trying to prevent a three-game regular-season series sweep after L.A., won and covered the spread in both meetings this season. One game was at home with one on the road.

PASS even though I “lean” to Phoenix covering because the Suns (-175) are priced as though Leonard won’t play, but how would we feel holding a Phoenix money line bet if he suits up?
Based on the current injury news, the most prudent move would be to lay the points with Phoenix at -110 odds and hope Leonard takes another game off.

Against the spread (ATS)
Try to wait as close to tip-off for the final injury updates, but based on the info we currently have, BET SUNS -4 (-110) for 1 unit.
Both teams are in the top-10 in net efficiency but, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, Phoenix has the second-best winning percentage and the fifth-best ATS margin vs. teams in the top-10 of net efficiency.
These numbers could be a tad skewed without any context as to who was active in said games against good teams and who wasn’t, but the Suns’ performance against quality competition should be factored in since they are the healthier team and have the motivational angle.
Furthermore, the Suns are 12-3 ATS at home against teams with a winning record and 7-1-1 ATS when laying between 3-4.5 points.
If Leonard plays, I’d still take Phoenix to cover but it’d only be a “lean” for a half unit.
Over/Under (O/U)
Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 220.5 (-115) for a half unit because the Suns have the second-highest points per 100 possessions vs. teams in the top-10 of net efficiency and the Clippers are fourth.
Also, each team is in the top-4 this month in both offensive rating and effective field-goal percentage.
