Gonsolin is a shoo-in for this summer’s MLB All-Star Game and grades in the 90th percentile or better in expected ERA (xERA) and expected batting (xBA), wOBA (xwOBA) and slugging percentage (xSLG) slash line, per Statcast. Syndergaard is in the 37th percentile or worse in xERA, xBA-xwOBA-xSLG slash line.
Also, the Dodgers are 5-1 SU with a plus-2.5 margin of victory after a day of rest while the Angels are 2-5 SU with a minus-2.6 margin of victory.

LEAN DODGERS -1.5 (+105) based on the previous analysis and because they are 6-5 RL in Gonsolin’s 11 starts and 5-1 RL when playing after a rest day.
Also, the Angels +1.5 (-130) are 2-5 RL when playing after a rest day and 4-8 RL as road underdogs.
My hesitation with the DODGERS -1.5 (+105) is there’s suspicious reverse line movement toward the Angels in both the RL and ML betting markets.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 8.5 (-107).
These teams have a combined 2-10-1 O/U when playing after a day of rest and 6-14 O/U with these starters get the nod. Also, sharp action has lowered the Angels-Dodgers total from a 9-run opener down to the current number, according to Pregame.com.
For the record, the UNDER 8.5 (-107) is my favorite bet in this game.
