Prediction

Angels 6, Rockies 5

Moneyline (ML)

The Rockies (-121) won Friday’s return to their home park following a three-game sweep at the hands of the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. The ANGELS (+110) opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning and took a lead into the bottom of the ninth before giving up a five-spot to the home side, including OF Charlie Blackmon‘s walkoff grand slam.

Target Freeland’s poor home numbers and back the ANGELS (+110) as plus-money underdogs to even the series score.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

PASS on the spread. The volatility of both starters in what’s sure to be another high-scoring game at Coors Field isn’t worth the risk when we’re already on the underdogs to win outright.

The Angels are actually laying the -1.5 (+145) on the spread as the book hedges against a toss-up game.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take the UNDER 12 (-110) on a number set to match Friday’s result. Friday’s total would have fallen well shy of the projection if not for Blackmon’s late heroics with the bases loaded.
