LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Loopy Godinez[/autotag] credits her camp change for the incredible performance at Noche UFC.

Godinez (10-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) scored a dominant submission of Elise Reed (7-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) in their strawweight bout this past Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

Godinez recently made the move to Lobo MMA, home of UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso, who retained her title in a split draw against Valentina Shevchenko in the night’s headliner.

“I feel like the change that I did was the best I’ve ever done for my career,” Godinez told MMA Junkie and other reporters post-fight at Noche UFC. “It showed. I feel it. The way I feel out there before the fight, the fight week, it was something really special. Exactly what I did out there was exactly what we were doing every day. I want to watch the fight just to live it again.”

Training out of the same gym as the likes of Grasso, former title challenger Irene Aldana and surging featherweight Diego Lopes, Godinez is confident she will fulfill her title goals.

“Yes, 100 percent, I do believe I’ll be a champion out of that gym,” Godinez said. “As a fighter, I think I have what it takes to be a champion, and also, I’ve got the tools. The tools will be my team. And it’s not only me. It’s not only one coach or another coach or Alexa only.

“It’s a big family. You guys will be seeing a lot of fighters coming out of there to be UFC fighters and to be champions, also, because there’s a lot of talent there. Everyone works super hard. This is the best camp I’ve ever had.”

Godinez is willing to keep proving herself if necessary, but thinks she’s earned a ranked opponent next.

“I just want keep fighting, and hopefully they give me a ranked opponent if it’s OK for them,” Godinez said.
