Looking to go see Michigan football in the national championship game? It’ll cost you

Yowza! #GoBlue

Michigan football fans already shelled out quite a bit of moolah to go to Pasadena to see the Wolverines take down the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl. The good news is that the maize and blue thus earned a berth in the national championship game. The bad news is if you want to keep it rolling by going in person, it’s going to be far from cheap.

The Wolverines will face the Washington Huskies for the second time in three years, but instead of it being a Week 2 contest with Washington coming off of an inexplicable loss to FCS-level Montana, it will be for all the marbles. It’s no foregone conclusion that either team wins, but with it being the first time either team has played in a bona fide national championship game, get-in costs in Houston are astronomical.

The absolute cheapest seast for Monday’s game at NRG Stadium are nosebleeds in the upper corner, and those will run $892, according to Vivid Seats. Want to splurge a little? You can sit in the first row of the 50-yard line for $13,083 per ticket.

Though it’s certainly a lot of dough, given that Michigan football has never been in that position, for many, the cost of going is worth every penny.
