The Philadelphia 76ers have an opponent for the second round in the form of the Boston Celtics as the East semifinals will begin on Monday with Game 1 at the TD Garden. The Sixers have not played since April 22 when they finished a sweep of the Brooklyn Nets, so they have had plenty of rest.
The Celtics are led by a star tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and a solid, battle-tested supporting cast who have been to the finals as a group. New coach Joe Mazzulla has also done an excellent job of making sure the Celtics haven’t dropped off from the championship level they showed in the 2021-22 season.
The Sixers dropped three of the four matchups with the Celtics during the regular season. With Game 1 on Monday, it is time to look back at the four matchups these teams played during the season.
