Despite the 2023-24 college basketball season being a few months away, the excitement for a new UNC basketball season is still here. After the team struggled a last season and missed the NCAA Tournament, this year’s roster experienced significant turnover.
UNC welcomes in five transfers plus a two-man 2023 class. It returns two key starters, RJ Davis and Armando Bacot. Both have started the past three seasons with the Tar Heels. If they want to find success, these two players are going to need to play at a high level.
With time off in the summer from practices, Davis made sure to find a way to get on the court as he was back at his high school, Archbishop Stepinac in New York:

Davis played in some pickup runs back at his old high school including going up against UNC target and five-star guard Boogie Fland.
If Davis can take another step forward in his game this season, it should mean great things for the Tar Heels backcourt.
