LOOK: UNC Football player flashes ‘U DOWN’ celebration

UNC football defensive back DeAndre Boykins did the ‘U Down’ celebration after beating Miami.

The North Carolina Tar Heels’ are riding high after a 27-24 road win at Miami on Saturday, getting it done with a good offense and a defensive stand at the end of the game.

The win was the fourth straight for UNC over Miami including two of them on the road. The Tar Heels have gotten the better of Miami including Manny Diaz and now winning the first matchup against Mario Cristobal as well.

After UNC sealed the game with a big interception by DeAndre Boykins with just seconds left, the defensive back celebrated in a way that has almost become a tradition for UNC players — flashing the ‘U Down”:

Now Boykins isn’t the only one to do it, heck J.J. Jones did it on the first score of the game for UNC after he was wide open and Drake Maye found him.

Quarterback Marquise Williams and Sam Howell have both flashed it in wins over Miami over the years. And now the tradition continues.

It’s a good thing UNC isn’t in the Big 12 either because no fun can be had there.
