The high school basketball season shifts to the AAU cycle in April as players begin the next calendar phase: summer basketball. Before that, some of the best players in the country gathered in Chicago, Illinois, to participate in a one-of-a-kind all-star game.
The Chris Brickley Invitational was held in Chicago in an awesome private gym on the 17th floor showcasing views of the city’s skyline that are tough to beat. The game is hosted by legendary NBA trainer Chris Brickley and is a showcase for the top talent in the high school game.
This year, three future Tar Heels participated: Ian Jackson, Elliot Cadeau and Simeon Wilcher took part:
Toile this for you #UNC basketball fans! @ElliotCadeau @SimeonWilcher @22_captainjack. They balled out at @Cbrickley603’s invitational tonight. You are welcome 🙂 pic.twitter.com/DxjgQBmbZg

As you see above, the trio posed for a photo together at the event with Cadeau and Wilcher on the same team and matching up against Jackson.
Jackson even earned praise from Brickley: He was mentioned in the highlight reel for the event.
Wilcher is a part of the Tar Heels’ 2023 class and will be on campus this season. Both Cadeau and Jackson have been rumored to be reclassifying, but nothing has come of that yet.
