There isn’t an event scheduled to be held at SoFi Stadium until August 14, which is the Rams’ first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints. Construction on the building has continued despite the coronavirus pandemic and remains on track to open later this summer.
The Oculus is the defining factor of the stadium, but there are many other features that will catch the eyes of those visiting Inglewood. The paneled roof, swooping canopy and overall shape of the building are also easy on the eyes, but the lighting system on the exterior isn’t something we’ve seen tested.
The Rams shared a photo of SoFi Stadium’s exterior lighting at night, which looks awesome under the West Coast sunset.
Looking good, @SoFiStadium! 🤩 pic.twitter.com/Gep0YAwqho

SoFi Stadium’s Twitter account shared the same photo, with an interesting fact attached. In total, 144,000 cubic yards of concrete have been used to build the stadium, which is equal to 44 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
It hopefully won’t be much longer before SoFi Stadium is shown on a national stage for NFL games and other marquee events, with or without fans. No matter when it officially opens, it’s going to look incredible when finished.
