Lonzo Ball sported a new look on his feet for Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz. After spending much of the beginning of the season by sporting the Kobe Protro 4s, Ball showed off a new pair of Kobes on the court in the “Prelude” Kobe 7s.
The colorway Ball chose was predominantly black with a gold complementary color along the heel and outlining the Nike logo. Ball is one of very few players to sport the Prelude Kobe 7s this season in the NBA.

The interesting aspect of Ball sporting the Prelude 7s is not just what they are but what they aren’t: Big Baller Brand. After spending nearly the entirety of his sophomore season in ZO2.19s, his second signature shoe with his company, Ball has not worn Big Baller Brand shoes once this season.
In fact, since filing a lawsuit against Alan Foster after his alleged embezzling over millions of dollars, Ball has hardly been seen in Big Baller Brand gear period. While his father LaVar has tried to focus on relaunching the brand, Lonzo appears much less interested in carrying the brand himself.
With youngest Ball sibling LaMelo also disinterested in committing to the company himself, the future of Big Baller Brand remains murky at best.
