The future is now: Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has arrived at Paul Brown Stadium and signed his rookie deal.

Burrow and his fellow rookies were permitted to report to team facilities July 21 after the NFL ironed out details signaling the start of training camps.

With a wrinkle, of course — Burrow and the rookies underwent a coronavirus test while reporting, then reverted to an all-virtual format until the team gets results.

The full preventative measures the Bengals are taking as part of league protocols delayed Burrow from returning until now, though he kept working out with teammates like D.J. Reader.

The Bengals and Burrow had agreed on his contract earlier this week but he couldn’t get to Paul Brown Stadium before today.
