Look: Joe Burrow officially signs his NFL contract with the Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow officially became a member of the team this week.

Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow had a year for the ages in 2019.

Burrow had the greatest statistical season in college football history and won the Heisman Trophy en route to leading the Tigers to the national championship.

In April, he capped it all off by becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

On Friday, Burrow officially became a member of the team, signing his first NFL contract.

The Bengals captured the moment for social media.

Burrow’s contract with the Bengals is fully guaranteed at $36.1 million over four years and he will receive 100 percent of his signing bonus — $23.88 million — within 15 days of signing the contract.

After signing his contract, Burrow had an afternoon press conference and expressed his excitement about getting to work.

“That’s (the contract) just a formality to me. I’m going to have to go out there and earn that paycheck every single day. That’s the part I’m looking forward to,” Burrow said.

Burrow doesn’t plan on making any big purchases with his new deal.

After signing his deal, it didn’t take long for Burrow to get to work, which doesn’t come as a surprise to those who watched him put the time in throughout his career at LSU.
