LOOK: Inside the Bears’ locker room after their big win vs. Commanders

Take a look inside the locker room after the Bears recorded their first win in 347 days.

The Chicago Bears defeated the Washington Commanders, 40-20, on Thursday Night Football for their first victory of the season.

It’s a win that came after the news that Bears legendary linebacker Dick Butkus passed away. It also marked the team’s first win in 347 days.

This team has been starved for a win, especially after last week’s devastating defeat where they blew a 21-point lead in the second half. Following a dominant first half where they led 27-3, the Bears were able to overcome a slow start in the third quarter and preserve the win in the fourth quarter.

The duo of Justin Fields and DJ Moore shined bright for Chicago, where Moore totaled a career-high 230 yards and three touchdowns. Fields built off his impressive Week 4 performance, and it’s clear the arrow is pointed up for Nos. 1 and 2.

Here’s a look insider the locker room after the Bears’ big prime-time win over the Commanders:

“It just feels good when you can say that the hard work paid off,” Fields told reporters after the game. “… I’m proud of everybody in the building. I love everybody on my team. Players, coaches, shoot, everybody upstairs. I might not even know them, but I love y’all. That feeling was, like I said before, a feeling that you never want it to end, and we just got to keep this momentum going and just get ready for Minnesota coming up next week.”

The Bears have some time to celebrate this win and rest before they face off against the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 15.
