Oregon Duck fans have waited patiently since 2014 to see these uniforms again, and they’re finally getting their wish.
It was officially announced on Wednesday evening that the Ducks will break out their new throwback uniforms for this weekend’s homecoming game against the Washington State Cougars.
The uniforms, modeled by RB Bucky Irving, are a callback to the jerseys that Oregon wore in 2014 at home against the Washington Huskies, and they are made to honor the 1984 jerseys worn by the Ducks. The team took the opportunity during the bye week earlier this month to release a first look at these beloved jerseys that many fans claim as their favorites of all-time.
Nike has released a line of throwback merchandise that became available for order last Saturday, and fans have started getting their products in the mail this past week, so you can expect to see a lot of vintage Oregon apparel inside Autzen Stadium this weekend.
