Michigan signee Donovan Edwards might be the crown jewel of the 2021 class. Yes, much is made about five-star QB J.J. McCarthy — understandably so — but Edwards choosing the hometown Wolverines over Georgia and others was a huge coup for a maize and blue squad in need of good news on signing day.
And as Edwards is partaking in West Bloomfield’s playoff run, he showed why he was so coveted from a national perspective.
As of this writing, the game between West Bloomfield and Belleville is still ongoing, but it has mostly been something of a stalemate. Until, in wildcat quarterback formation, Edwards took the snap and kept it on an inside run, taking it 50 yards for a touchdown.
Needless to say, Michigan got a dynamic athlete joining its offensive backfield.

2021 RB Donovan Edwards (Michigan commit) cannot be contained for too long as he breaks it for the first score of the game.
