The NFL and NFLPA took a big step toward the return of football on Friday, agreeing to a deal with parameters that account for the coronavirus pandemic – stipulations pertaining to players opting out, training camp protocols and the official cancelation of the preseason.
Assuming there isn’t an outbreak of COVID-19 across the NFL, training camp and the 2020 season are scheduled to start as originally planned. Jared Goff and Cooper Kupp, among the rest of the Rams roster, will report for initial testing this week, with the official start of training camp to come at a later date.
Goff reacted to the progress made by the league with a post on his Instagram story.

Kupp also seems excited, sharing a photoshopped picture of him wearing the Rams’ new Bone uniform with the caption, “See you on Sundays.”

The Rams will open the 2020 season against the Cowboys at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 13, a Sunday night matchup. There will either be limited or no fans in attendance, however, which will take away from the excitement surrounding the opening of the $5 billion stadium.
