Major League Baseball opening day is here.
Just across the way from the Kansas City Chiefs in the Truman Sports Complex, the Kansas City Royals will get their season underway at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals will kick off the 2021 MLB season facing the Texas Rangers.
The Chiefs have long supported their neighbors and that remains true to this day. They posted a good luck message to the Royals on social media. They also have a few members of the team taking in opening day together.

Of course, Patrick Mahomes, a part-owner of the Royals, is representing his team on opening day. The Chiefs also have head coach Andy Reid, general manager Brett Veach and team president Mark Donovan in attendance for the game.
Mahomes even had the pleasure of being interviewed during a commercial break.

Chiefs Kingdom certainly wishes the Royals the best of luck as they begin their 2021 campaign. Who knows, perhaps they’ll be able to repeat some of their previous successes and get back to the World Series.
