Look at his January stats — 10.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor and 43.2 from deep. And those stats don’t even tell the whole story. The rookie has quite literally stepped into every role that injuries and illnesses to his teammates have created for him. January showcased Dosunmu’s unique ability to create plays (multiple double-digit assist games), score (15-plus points in five outings) and handle playing 30-plus minutes a game. Simply put, Dosunmu has been a blessing for this Bulls team given the hits their wing depth has taken over the past month or so. He’s played his way into being a legitimately important player in Chicago’s rotation.
