After testing out his ankle during pregame warm-ups, Lonzo Ball will start for the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Ball suffered the ankle injury late in the first half against the Wizards on Wednesday. After heading to the locker room just before halftime and being listed as questionable to return, Ball never came out for the second half.
After the contest, head coach Stan Van Gundy was optimistic about Ball’s status moving forward into the weekend. Ball was listed as questionable in Thursday’s injury report. At shootaround on Friday, Ball stated that he would test his ankle pregame and make a situation then.
Before the game, Stan Van Gundy said that if Ball were to play, he would not have a minutes restriction on the evening.
