Lonzo Ball names his all-time starting five, including LeBron James and Michael Jordan

Lonzo Ball revealed his all-time starting five that included multiple past and present Los Angeles Lakers.

Given the era and location he grew up, it’s no surprise that Lonzo Ball’s all-time starting five featured both a healthy dose of Los Angeles Lakers and mid-2000s superstars. In an interview on the Pelicans website that focused on questions away from the court, Ball was asked for his all-time starting five, which heavily featured past and present Lakers.

At the point guard position, Ball chose former Laker and the man responsible for drafting him in Magic Johnson. It’s also one of the players Ball’s game was compared most to coming into the league.

Arguably the greatest player of all-time was Ball’s shooting guard in Michael Jordan. Despite Ball was barely alive for Jordan’s Bulls days and certainly have no recollection of it, the Big Baller showed some respect for the Chicago legend.

Naturally, Ball put LeBron James as his small forward. Multiple times over the last year and a half, Ball has called James his favorite player growing up and even did as much in the interview itself.

The most interesting selection of Ball’s team was at the power forward where he chose Kevin Durant. Not normally a power forward, Durant is still one of the most efficient scorers in league history.

Lastly at center, Ball’s choice was fairly obvious as he opted for the Big Diesel in Shaq. Ball grew up in the entirety of the threepeat era of Shaq and Kobe Bryant so it’s no surprise O’Neal makes his team.
