With the NBA season on hold indefinitely, we have taken the opportunity to rank and match-up Lonzo Ball’s greatest performance in a March Madness bracket format.
Round 1, Game 1
Round 2, Game 2
Round 3, Game 3
One of Lonzo Ball’s personal best nights as a Pelican goes up against a record-setting night in Charlotte.
No. 4 seed – Pelicans vs. Minnesota, March 3, 2020
The Pelicans’ loss at home to the Timberwolves in early March could be a game that, should the season resume, costs New Orleans a playoff spot. Against a struggling Timberwolves side, the Pelicans laid an egg as a team, falling to Minnesota 139-134.
Ball, though, did all he could to try to salvage the win, connecting on a career-high seven three-pointers as part of a huge night.
5. Lakers at Charlotte, Dec. 15, 2018
Statistically, Ball’s performance his second year in Charlotte didn’t stand out too much on its own aside from it being a triple-double. It was a rather mundane triple-double even by Ball’s standards.
It was the circumstances around it, though, that made it memorable as he and teammate LeBron James each notched triple-doubles, etching their names in the history books in the process.
