Lonzo Ball gets starting nod vs. Nets

Lonzo Ball is back in the starting lineup for the New Orleans Pelicans.

New Orleans Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry gave Lonzo Ball the starting nod over JJ Redick against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. This marks 13th start in 20 games and his first start in four games.

Ball has averaged 11.2 points per game on 39% shooting from the field, including 35.4% shooting from behind the arc, in 12 starts leading up to Tuesday. He also averaged 6 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

The Pelicans are 1-11 when Ball starts. They’re 6-21 on the season.
