Lonzo Ball and Derrick Favors are questionable for game vs. Pelicans

The Thunder will be looking to sweep their home-and-home against the Pelicans, and their odds of doing so might be enhanced.

On Sunday, the Thunder will attempt to sweep their home-and-home series with the Pelicans as they host New Orleans at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Their odds of doing so improve a bit with Lonzo Ball and Derrick Favors each being listed on the Pelicans’ injury report as questionable for the contest. Ball, who has missed each of the team’s previous two competitions, is currently battling a stomach bug. Favors, on the other hand, has been missing lately due to the death of his mother.

Favors last suited up for New Orleans back on Nov. 16, with the team going 3-4 in the seven games that he missed since then. Before the death of his mother, Favors was kept out of the lineup to a back injury, so if he is in the lineup for the Pelicans on Sunday, it’s doubtful that he will be functioning at or near 100%.

For the Thunder, Hamidou Diallo and Andre Roberson are on the injured list. Diallo is expected to be out at least three more weeks with a sprained right elbow, while the date of Roberson’s return to the lineup is anyone’s guess at this point.

The contest will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. CT, where Oklahoma City will be looking to win three of four games for just the second time this season.
