Longhorns in the NFL Week 17: Regular-season finale

The weekly Longhorns in the NFL update. In Week 17, kickers were the stars who helped lead the way for ex-Horns before the playoffs begin.

The NFL’s regular season concluded Sunday with multiple former Longhorns on their way to the postseason. It was a good week for special teams players Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens and Michael Dickson of the Seattle Seahawks.

Tucker made all six of his kicks in a convincing win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He has scored at least 130 points in five consecutive seasons, tying the NFL record.

In Seattle, Dickson averaged over 56 yards per punt, helping the Seahawks beat the San Fransico 49ers 26-23. Seattle clinched the No. 3 seed in the NFC and will face Malcolm Roach and the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round.

As for the rest of the Texas Exes in Week 17, Longhorns Wire provides the update.
