It is now official: former Tennessee Titans cornerback Logan Ryan will not be returning to Nashville in 2020.
Ryan shared a farewell message on Instagram attached to a video of some of his highlights as a member of the Titans.
The caption, which included support for Derrick Henry getting paid, read:
My chapter in Tennessee has come to a close.
To the Titans fans: Thank you for all the love. The energy and support this past season is what led to an epic run.
To my Titans Teammates: I love all y’all. Being a leader and earning y’all respect is what meant most to me. Win or lose we stuck together and backed down from no one. (Hyenas)
To the Animal Welfare Community: My foundation @rarf was founded and blossomed in TN. All those working hard to support our four legged friends I’m forever grateful.
I’m looking forward to continue to play at an elite level for a organization that’s a great fit for my family and me.
Everybody Stay Safe & Positive during these crazy times.

Despite this farewell, Ryan has yet to sign with another team and remains one of the biggest names on the open market.
This break-up between Ryan and the Titans doesn’t come as much of a surprise. It was basically a foregone conclusion prior to this statement, and that was only hammered home by the fact that Ryan’s No. 26 was given to second-round pick, Kristian Fulton.
Ryan only spent three seasons with the Titans, but the mark he left on the franchise will no doubt last forever.
The veteran corner was a leader in Tennessee and his play on the field was vital to the team rebuilding its secondary a few years back. He was arguably one of the Titans’ most important defenders during their AFC Championship run in 2019.
And, what was perhaps Ryan’s greatest moment in a Titans uniform is one fans will never forget: his pick-six of Tom Brady in the wild card win last season that was the final blow to the New England Patriots’ dynasty.
He was also a class act off the field and did as much for the community of Nashville as any player possibly can. The Titans couldn’t have asked for much more than what they got out of Ryan.
