The news of the early signing period for Notre Dame wasn’t so much about who signed as much as about the one that didn’t.
Of the 24 commitments Notre Dame had as they entered the day, 23 signed their letters of intent.
The one who did not was Logan Diggs, a running back from Louisiana. Earlier Wednesday we were trying to figure out exactly what was going on.
As it goes for Diggs, it turns out we’ll have to wait a while to find out if he officially ends up a part of Notre Dame’s recruiting class or not. Diggs shared his latest decision in regards to signing his letter of intent on Wednesday evening.
For everyone wondering and asking, I will be waiting until February.. #RespectMyDecision

Is it good news for Notre Dame or is it bad?
I haven’t covered recruiting as long as some but I do know that trying to predict the decision a 17 or 18-year-old is going to make it beyond difficult.
It is worth noting that while meeting the media Wednesday afternoon that Brian Kelly feels Notre Dame is going to still add a pair of running backs and an additional member of the secondary in this class.
