The Los Angeles Rams had a slew of injuries during the 2022 season, beginning with rookie Logan Bruss suffering a season-ending knee injury in the preseason. After having to redshirt his rookie campaign, Sean McVay expects Bruss to be a full-go during the team’s offseason program.
“He’s good. He’s ready to go. He’s done a great job with Reggie (Scott) and his group attacking his rehab. You always want to monitor guys, but we start Phase 2 next week and physically, he looks good,” McVay said. “I think he did a great job. You just see a guy coming in as a rookie and what you can do… just physically how his body looks and he’s got a good look in his eye and so don’t anticipate any limitations for him moving forward.”
The Rams took Bruss with the 104th overall pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft out of Wisconsin. When selecting Bruss, the Rams were hoping that he’d fit into the interior offensive line equation at some point during the regular season.
However, the first-year offensive lineman sustained a torn ACL and MCL against the Houston Texans in the preseason. While Bruss was unable to log any snaps in his rookie season, he’s expected to get plenty of opportunities to earn a starting job leading into training camp.
