Local 2025 prospect names top three ahead of commitment

Washington is one of three teams in the running for three-star prospect T’Andre Waverly.

The Washington Huskies are one of three teams still in the running for three-star athlete T’Andre Waverly, a product of Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington. On Wednesday, he cut his 20 offers down to three ahead of his commitment on Saturday, January 11 at the Navy All-American Bowl.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect, who is ranked as the No. 18 player in the state of Washington and No. 96 athlete in the 2025 class by 247Sports, is set to choose between Oregon State, Notre Dame, and Washington.

“The biggest thing I’m looking for is how well the coach can develop my position,” Waverly told 247Sports’ Brandon Huffman. “I want a coach who has a resume of development.”

Waverly played both ways at Kamiak, acting as an edge rusher opposite Washington signee Victor Sanchez Hernandez, and also playing tight end, where he’s expected to assume full time duties at the college level. He took an official visit to Oregon State on November 23, and the Beavers appear to be the team to beat for his services.

The Beavers hold a crystal ball from Huffman to land his commitment in a class where Washington has already added two tight ends, four-star Baron Naone and three-star Austin Simmons, both products of the state of Oregon. Position coach Jordan Paopao also added local product Kade Eldridge from the transfer portal, who spent the previous two seasons at USC.
