USC has to be able to win a considerable share of recruiting battles for local prospects. Here’s one example: 6-foot-1, 170-pound wideout Xavier Jordan is part of the 2024 class. He is one of the hottest names in recruiting circles in the state of California. USC has dipped its feet in the pool as it should, extending an offer to the electric prospect.
The California-based receiver finished his junior season in 2022 with 83 catches for 1,626 yards, 19.6 yards per catch, and 20 touchdowns for Cathedral High School.
He was productive on the track last spring as well with a personal best of 11.09 in the 100-meter dash and a 21-foot, 4-inch long jump to boost his athletic profile and augment what he showed on the field.
The local kid plays 15 minutes away from the Coliseum. The L.A. native also picked up offers from Georgia and Colorado this week and has many more offers to come.
He hears gunshots, sirens, helicopters at night. Cathedral's Xavier Jordan blocks out the distractions on path to success https://t.co/drLSeClDFx
