Lonzo Ball was excited to play with No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson upon landing with the New Orleans Pelicans and the two have developed strong chemistry on the court as a result.

Ball and Williamson shared the court for just 19 games prior to the regular season shutting down due to the coronavirus pandemic. They have filled up the highlight reels and have connected on a number of different alley-oop dunks.

Ball recently spoke with Pelicans teammate J.J. Redick on his podcast on The Ringer about his connection with Williamson on the court and how he works on feeding the rookie.

I really just aim for the corner of the backboard, really. As you know, Zion is probably going to catch it no matter where you throw it. So, for me, I really just try to get it over the defender because I know (he is) going to get higher than him. As long as I do that, it’s going to work out.

Ball said the two players are just getting started after their run so far this season. The Pelicans instantly became a must-watch team once Williamson debuted on the court and his teammates are also a big part of the equation and their play has made for some fun basketball to watch this season.
