LIV golfers ragged on the PGA Tour for its new no-cut event changes

LIV golfers noticed something familiar about the PGA Tour’s latest round of changes.

Some big changes are coming to the PGA Tour … and yeah, honestly, they seem a little familiar.

Per Golfweek: “Fields in designated events will be reduced to between 70 and 78 players with no halfway cut. The changes will not apply to all of the elevated events— the majors, the Players Championship and the FedEx Cup playoff tournaments will be unaffected.”

That’s right, there will be some no-cut events, insuring even if a big name has a terrible first two days, you’ll get to see them play Saturday and Sunday.

It sounds familiar because that’s partially the blueprint used by LIV Golf, the Saudi-backed league that continues to be a laughingstock … but which is making waves like this.
