[autotag]Ryan Blaney[/autotag] took the white flag at Homestead-Miami Speedway and was in a great position to make the Championship 4 for a second straight year. Blaney just passed Denny Hamlin and looked to cruise to the checkered flag. However, it simply wasn’t meant to be for Blaney, the No. 12 team, and Team Penske at Homestead.
Somehow, someway, Tyler Reddick was able to pass Blaney in the final corners by blowing the doors off the No. 12 car on the outside lane. Reddick made the No. 45 car stick despite a tire deficit and won his way into the Championship 4. Following the event, reality set in for Blaney, who now faces a likely must-win scenario at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.
Below, you can listen to Blaney’s radio in the moment he came up short of winning at Homestead. The driver of the No. 12 car was very disappointed and couldn’t believe what occurred in the final moments.
