[autotag]Ryan Blaney[/autotag] thought he had a great chance of winning the 2024 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway; however, he was on the bad end of an unlucky situation. Going into the first NASCAR overtime, Blaney became the control car after Brad Keselowski ran out of fuel. Kyle Larson then moved up to the inside on the front row and took the lead in Turn 1 before a yellow flag.
Blaney was livid on the radio and couldn’t believe NASCAR allowed it to happen. Yet, NASCAR deemed that Larson didn’t jump the restart and confirmed that Blaney was the control car. The driver of the No. 12 car simply had a bad restart and was disadvantaged going into Turn 1. Still, it didn’t take away Blaney’s frustration.
Below, you can listen to Blaney’s radio during the Brickyard 400 throughout and after the first NASCAR overtime restart!

Blaney still came home with a third-place finish, but the frustration of losing the 2024 Brickyard 400 won’t go away anytime soon as NASCAR enters the Olympic break.
